They study at one of the most prestigious university in the country, and with all the academic pressure they still find time for a life passion – classical music. Here are questions to the quartet that is playing in the Season Finale on April 20 in the Tchaikovsky Concerto. Here are some fun things to know about Tienne Yu, Kelly Kim, Georgia Post and Kaivalya Kulkarni.

Where were you born?

Tienne: China (No, she did not know the town!)

Kelly: Chicago

Georgia: New York City

Kaivalya: East Lansing, Michigan

What are your studies at Princeton University?

Tienne: Molecular biology

Kelly: English

Georgia: Molecular biology

Kaivalya: Mathematics

– When did you start to play your instrument, and how did that happen?

Tienne: I started when I was six, and my mom suggested I play.

Kelly: I was four, I started because my older sister played the violin.

Georgia: Started on violin at four, but then I liked the sound of the viola and switched. My mom wanted me and my sister to play an instrument.

Kaivalya: I was five years old, my friend was playing so I wanted to try also.

– Who is your favorite composer?

Tienne: Beethoven

Kelly: Tchaikovsky!

Georgia: Beethoven

Kaivalya: Beethoven

– What are your favorite things to do outside of studying and music?

Tienne: Chrocheting

Kelly: Sleeping

Georgia: Eating, trying new foods

Kayvalia: Running

– Mention one thing you know about Scandinavia?

Tienne: The 1867 famine in Sweden

Kelly: All Scandinavian flags have a cross in them

Georgia: IKEA, ABBA, and that Scandinavians are happy

Kaivalya: Niels Abel from Norway, he was the first person that showed that the quintic equation has no solution in radicals.
